Sandalias con calcetines sí o no. / Sandals with socks, yes or no.

Haciendo un lapsus de la NYFW y de MBFW Madrid, hoy os dejo con un post un poco polémico porque he aquí la cuestión: Sandalias con calcetines sí o no.

A lo largo de estos últimos meses he visto en blogs, a los que sigo habitualmente- como el de Pelayo Díaz, Tea Time de Alba Galocha, The Sartorialist y mismo en el último Street style de New York-, las sandalias con calcetines.

He leído las críticas e insultos que se llevan por publicar esa imagen. No sé si es que se debe a que tenemos una idea preconcebida pero nunca he visto un mix que provoque tantos enfrentamientos y discusiones.  La cuestión y, en mi humilde opinión, es que ni en el arte todo es bello ni en la moda todo está definido.

La moda, como en el arte, es un reflejo de nuestra época, de la sociedad en la que vivimos y está en continuo cambio. Es el momento de la democratización, de la diversión y de la creatividad, sin prejuicios. Y aún digo más, si en una época pasada el bikini, la minifalda, pantalones y vaqueros fueron una revolución para la mujer y los bolsos para los hombres, yo digo SÍ a los calcetines con sandalias. Quizá los guiris (con todo mi respeto y cariño) que vienen a visitar nuestro país son unos adelantados a la época y precursores de una moda que está calando muy lentamente.  Luego, cada uno es libre de llevarlos o no, eso queda a título personal.  Pero lo que es cierto es que existe esta tendencia.

¿Triunfará? el tiempo lo dirá.

Making a slip of MBFW NYFW and Madrid, now I leave you with a post a little controversial because here's the thing: sandals with socks yes or no.

Over recent months I have seen in blogs, which I still usually like Pelayo Diaz, Tea Time of Alba Galocha, The Sartorialist and even in the last New York Street style sandals with socks.

I read the reviews and insults carried for posting that image. I do not know if it is because they have a preconceived idea but I've never seen a mix that causes many confrontations and discussions. The issue, in my humble opinion, is that neither the art everything is beautiful, not in fashion everything is defined.

Fashion, like art, is a reflection of our times, of the society in which we live is constantly changing. It's the time of democratization, fun and creativity, without prejudice. Even I say again, if in a bygone era bikini, mini skirts, pants and jeans were a revolution for women and bags for men, I say YES to socks with sandals. Perhaps the tourists (with all my respect and affection) who come to visit our country are about ahead of the times and precursors of a fad that is catching on slowly. Then each one is free to take them or not, that is their personal capacity. But what is certain is that this trend exists.

Only time will tell
